It's not difficult to be inspired by such beautiful natural stones.. These are tumbled blue/turquoise Howlite. I called this necklace Makayla
I thought I would show you a necklace that I made just for myself. It has quite a history. Over the years I have inherited jewelry from my mother, grandmother and several aunts. Among these I had a total of eight strands of pearls. They are a creamy yellow.gold color I presume they are freshwater pearls but don't know for sure, only that they are very old and have a superb luster about them. There were six single strands and one double strand. Here is a picture of one of them before I started work.
I decided to use only six of the strands and because they were all more of less the same length thought they would look nice grouped together as multi layers. A couple I had to restring but the others were in good condition
I found an old diamente clasp which had three holes on each side, so I discarded all the old clasps and doubled up the strings to have two strands per hole.
And to complete the look and give it some pannazz I found I also had several of my relatives old broaches too which I could use to merely temporarily pin onto the multi pearls when I felt I wanted them to have extra zing.
